Scott's impact goes far beyond his scorecard. He initiated the beloved "Mayor's Yellow Ball Tournament," a cornerstone event on the club's calendar. His service as Past Mayor of Birmingham, Michigan, further exemplifies his commitment to the community. As a club delegate to the Golf Association of Michigan, he represented Rolling In with distinction.

 

Overcoming Challenges with Grace:

 A true testament to Scott's character is his triumph over pancreatic cancer. This defining life event undoubtedly shaped him, and his perseverance is an inspiration to all.

 

A Man of Many Hats:

Scott's background is as diverse as his skillset. A lawyer by profession, he also trained for the ministry, showcasing a depth of character that extends far beyond the fairway. He established the President's Medallion Award, awarded to the annual match play champion in the signature club event, further solidifying his legacy within the club's competitive spirit.

 

A Spirited Addition to Any Foursome:

With Scott in your group, you experienced his good humor and lighthearted demeanor.  Even off the course, Scott's reputation as a great speaker at club events is well-deserved, his skill undoubtedly due to his background in politics, law, and the ministry.

 

A Great Leader:

Like most true leaders, Scott knew when to get involved in the many details and problems involved in running the club, but he mostly preferred to let the parties responsible arrive at their own solutions – an approach that has worked well for the Club for the last decade and a half.
